I used Travis Orbins’ transcriptions of his versions of the songs as a starting point. I am interested in creating accompanying videos that cover difficult or interesting aspects of songs to make the transcriptions easier to learn, so look for that down the line. I am not interested in just posting videos of a play through or covers without an accompanying transcription for I find that has little educational value. So, if you would like to contribute I can post links to, or host your transcriptions as well(with credit where credit is due) or if you would like to share my work on your site just ask. I would love to start a community where there are many of us contributing and sharing our work. I did what I can to make it fairly accurate and consistent but you know how it is. If I were learning these I would listen along with the score and make some notes as to when a section is played on ride, china, stack, open Hi Hat, etc. I believe I have used standard drum set notation but the cymbal selection is basically up to your interpretation.
I did not provide a key to explain what note denotes which instrument. As I learn these pieces I have been making changes when I come across errors, or if i think things should be notated differently, so if you download the piece today there might be a slightly different part next week… For some of these pieces I know there are other notes that I did not notate, usually ghost notes in a section where it is implied, otherwise it’s something I left out so that I can make a section repeat and I jut ignore the couple of variances that would otherwise make the piece much longer. I have always found errors in transcriptions and I will make them as well. Also, please let me know if anything is not working or if you would like anything in a different format or if you would like a copy of the file so you can edit it. If anyone has any suggestions, corrections or requests just shoot me a message and we can discuss it. I will try to avoid putting up transcriptions that can be purchased in any official capacity as far as I am aware. All rights are reserved by the artist and these are not monetized in any way.
